The transitions felt abrupt and the scenes that took place in the past didn't tie in neatly with what was happening in the present. I didn't like the writing, it was choppy with vague sentences and was sparse enough that I didn't really care about anything happening in the book. I didn't enjoy anything about this book honestly. Meanwhile her father is frantically searching for her. So with no solid plan she heads out and eventually tries out for the circus to follow in her mothers foot steps. Willow doesn't remember much about her mother but she has one picture of her and knows she was part of the circus.
